We've been dining here since opening week. The interior is decades old, read worn, lumpy booths. Service and management were great. Value for cost is fair, except the wine. Wine choices offered are ok but WAY over priced for quality. Ok, I know everyone needs to make a buck. How about bringing back some true Italian style with a flower, spoons and little lamp for example.

Food & Service is good. *** However, the LINES, WAIT & reservation management has dropped to 3rd-rate... –This has been the case ever since they switched from Open Table reservation system, to their current one E.g., A recent visit: The EARLIEST reservation was 3 hours off – fortunately, we nabbed a FCFS bar table after waiting about 30 minutes. Considerately, we Canceled the later reservation at their front desk. We enjoyed our meal — the servers did a commendable job weaving & navigating through the crowds of noisy waiting customers and hangry children.*** We finished up leisurely then moved on to our next destination...Now, surprisingly – 5 miles away – we received notification that our table was ready!? (8 minutes after the Cancel reservation time )

I came here for the first time last night (takeout, because of the virus). The food was phenomenal! I had the chicken parmigiana and their chocolate zuccotto cake for desert. Both were delicious! It was a bit pricey, but the service and quality of food was worth it. Definitely check this place out if you want to take your taste buds on a fantastic journey.😊

Slow service, probably not enough servers but management needs to be aware of this and schedule accordingly or schedule the right servers to handle crowds. My food came before drinks, food order was wrong and no one checked on us to see if food was tasty or correct, by the time I was able to grab our waiter to tell him about the food my husband was half way through his meal, then the waiter basically said that I ordered wrong....excuse me? I ordered my meal and asked also for a side of mashed potatoes..he took it upon himself to substitute my pasta for the mashed potatoes...the word "substitute " or instead or switch or anything like those words came out of my mouth...disappointing...I will find another Italian place to dine at.

Very great service, food was awesome, we had Four Cheese Ravioli and Fettuccine Alfredo Pasta and we get to take a dish home too. This is a nice interior restaurant but the best one is in Woodland Hills California.

Food was delicious but other parts of the service just wasn't on point. Asked if we wanted things but never came back to the table with them. My daughter had her birthday desert coming they forgot it. It came 15 mins later after we reminded them. Even the message on the plate said, "Happy Birtday." It was a 3 hour tour....Ever other table around us had turned over and orders placed before we could go. Maybe that is what to expect on a busy night. My daughter said no even when the place is slow it can be the same. The food is good just don't go when you are in a hurry.

Atmosphere is good. Server was tentative. I was surprised about the buy one take one free pasta deal but the food was really not to par. I thought it was just my Asian tongue but my Caucasian friends all had the same feeling about the food. I guess the atmosphere and the wait outside the restaurant just made all of us expected a little more from the taste.

I had an amazing time at maggianos this week.I went there for dinner and the minute I walked in the hospitality was great.Our server Allysa was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and was a pleasure to have us with us during our meal.The food was sooo good! I had the eggplant parm and it was delicous!I'd totally recommend.

Good food and good service. No wait for the bar high table top. However, they didn't give us the correct 2nd meals to go which we didn't notice until after we got home. Other than that a good overall experience

Maggiano's Little Italy is a very nice Italian cuisine featuring a large variety of flatbreads, pastas, and more. Their specialty would be their buy one-take one home offer for most pastas, where you buy one for $15-25 and you get another pasta free for you to take home. Their pastas are delicious with the exception of a few off days where it can be extremely salty. Enjoy their complementary bread and olive oil with drops of apple vinegar at the beginning for it is amazing. Their servers are kind and good people and the restaurant is decently high-end, located at a corner of a busy South Coast Plaza. Crowded but luxurious place, overall, very nice for a good meal.Recommended for Celebration Lunches and Dinners, Come Casually Dressed, Kids Not Recommended (Fancy Place), ALWAYS Make a Reservation on Open Table or Google

They have this special deal daily 2 meals for $45 which includes 2 salads. 2 pasta meal and a dessert to share. PLUS 2 pasta meal to go!!! Crazy food and service are great. Highly recommend

I don't really eat at sit down restaurants very often, but I love going here. On the menu they offer meal for 2. It includes a shared appetizer or salad for each, 2 entrees, a shared dessert and an entree for each of you to take home for around $45. And they give you a healthy size portion along with that wonder Italian bread with the yummy oil and vinegar. Great place to celebrate any occasion. And the staff is awesome.

They have the absolute best Italian food in Orange County. The lunch menu was a bit of a letdown because it doesn't have my favorites on it. Ravioli was absolutely delicious though. Perfect place to take a date. If you go in a group, you must try the stuffed mushrooms and stuffed clams. They also offer half orders for couples.

I really enjoy the food here, my kids like it too. After we were done with our food, and shortly before our dessert, the waiter came with a plate with delicious cookies, the plate had a happy anniversary sign written on it. Very nice detail from their side.Every time I have come here, I have experienced great service. The restaurant it's pretty nice. The food is delicious. Great dining experience every time.

For an Italian restaurant chain you cant do any better! The food quality was fantastic! I had the Lobster Carbonara and it was delicious! The lobster was definitely NOT frozen! You can be extravagant and spend $30/plate or you can go with Italian classics and spend half of that and go home with leftovers

Went here for mother's birthday and it was great! They set us up in a private dining room with servers. The meatballs, ravioli, chicken picatta, mashed potatoes, and roasted vegetables were delicious and so was the tiramisu and strawberry shortcake. Service was excellent. I didn't get any names, but the Male server was friendly, helpful and had a great personality. The female server seemed grumpy and never smiled. Everyone had a great time and was fully satisfied. What a great way to celebrate. Will definitely do this again.

Waited an hour and fifteen minutes (which was exactly the estimated wait they told us, so kudos there) to get seated in the bar area near the lobby. That was a little annoying, but everything after that went well and the food and service was really good.

Overall great. The family style nature of the place is welcoming and sharing with everyone is great. The food was 4 stars but the service was 5 stars. Our server was so wonderful. We were a large and needy group and not once did we feel like we annoyed her. She made us feel at home and she was possibly the most professional server I've had at one of these larger sit down restaurants

I love Maggiano’s south coast plaza !!!! I had a meal that was not up to par which was highly unusual so I called and talk to the manager and they sent me a gift card to compensate for the meal with a note Stating how important customer satisfaction is to them. Now this is a top notch top-quality restaurant !!! Thank you Maggiano’s and thank you The for the management that took care of me and my husband we appreciate your food your service and your attention to detail! Food was pretty good.Service was pretty good.Server came to our table multiple times, looked over our table then left. Our drinks were clearly empty, but he never came back to fill them up.You know how they always come when you have a bite in your mouth? Well, he always came when we were in mid conversation, but never asked. I saw him look over the table and thought it would be quite obvious to fill em up... Guess you need to ask.Maybe dinner is better than lunch? Our lunch was good, not great.Great environment though!

You can not go home hungry...if you do, not sure why. The food is delicious and the portions are big and to finish, order the sampler dessert. 5 different ones enough to share but just right to not over do it. The service is great. Highly recommend

Visited last night before OC Performing Arts Center show. We were informed that our table would be ready in 1 hour 30 minutes. Thank God we fetched chairs at the bar and ate there last minute. It’s been almost 24 hours and no message regarding our table availability! Being sarcastic, but seriously your booking/reservation system is TERRIBLE!

I am a frequent customer at Maggiano’s and have never had an issue there in my life. Two days ago (3/10/20) I was there for an anniversary dinner and it was delicious. After bringing our leftovers home and reheating them the next day, I found a metal screw in my pasta. I assume the screw was from a pan or pot handle that fell off after excessive use. I was a little upset at finding metal in my food but it’s understandable.Today, Thursday 3/12/20, I called the Maggiano’s and spoke to the manager named Lei. Lei did not give any excuses for the mishap and instead apologized and is sending out gift cards to my address as a way to say sorry. Although finding the screw was unpleasant, the customer service was excellent and because of that I will still be a frequent visitor to Maggiano’s. I understand mistakes happen, and after over 30 visits, this is the first issue I’ve ever had. Thank you Maggiano’s and the manager Lei, for owning up to a mistake and correcting it.
